A shop, not a warehouse.

We started with one repair bench and a rail of second-hand guitars on Oval Road, a two minute walk from the lock. Three decades later the bench is still here, and it is still the busiest thing in the building.

Every instrument we sell is set up before it goes out: action checked, intonation dialled in, fresh strings, heads tuned. If it comes back not feeling right, we fix it. That is the whole business model.

Come in on a Saturday and you will hear someone testing a snare in the back room while a beginner works out their first barre chord by the window. Both are welcome. Neither gets rushed.
